Privacy Policy

Go Film is an independent listings guide for independent cinema in New York City. We do not sell advertising, we do not sell data, and we do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers. This policy explains the small amount of data we do handle.
What we collect

If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email address and a stable account identifier from them. We do not receive your password. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email", we only ever see the relay address Apple gives us.
What we do not collect
- Your profile photo. If you set one in the iOS app, the image is stored only in the app's private storage on your device. It is never uploaded to us.
- Your location. The app does not request or use location services.
- Advertising or tracking identifiers. There are no advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs in the app, so there is nothing to track you with across other apps or websites.
- Payment information. We never handle payments.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers to run the product:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
- Railway — hosting for our API.
- Vercel — hosting for this website.
- Resend — sending the beta signup email.
We may also disclose information if we are legally required to do so.
Film information and posters
Film metadata and poster images come from TMDB. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Showtimes are collected from the public websites of the theaters we list. Theater names and logos are the property of their respective owners.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your login, your saved collection, and your activity records are deleted. Routine backups may retain copies for a short period before they age out.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, without contacting us:
In the iOS app, open Profile and choose Delete account.
This is immediate and cannot be undone. If you would rather we do it for you, email gofilm1.info@gmail.com from the address on your account.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Email gofilm1.info@gmail.com and we will respond. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
Children
Go Film is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will remove it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
